One reason I’m bullish on Mastodon: I think it has the potential to jumpstart “innovation via 3rd party client” again.

@buzz Agreed. Amaroq, Toodon, and Toot! are wildly different in approach. Even the app icons vary greatly.

@buzz And with that last bit, I think it has a greater chance of becoming an 'ecosystem', which I'm very excited about.
