One reason I’m bullish on Mastodon: I think it has the potential to jumpstart “innovation via 3rd party client” again.

Maybe Mastodon is like a late 60s/early 70s-style back-to-the-land movement. The “counterculture packing it in and moving to subsistence communes in Oregon” of social networking.

Just finished “The Big Picture: The Fight for the Future of Movies” by Ben Fritz.
